There is a wisdom that comes with time.
A knowing that lives beneath the noise, beneath the expectations, beneath who we have been told
we should be.
Rooted & Rising is an intimate retreat for women ready to pause, listen deeply, and reconnect
with the woman they are becoming.

Inspired by the journey of the acorn becoming the oak, this retreat invites you to explore what it means to be deeply rooted while continuing to grow, change, and reach toward the life that iscalling you forward.Through time in nature, meaningful connection, creativity, nourishment, mindfulness, spiritualexploration, and experiences with horses, you will have space to slow down and listen to yourown inner wisdom. This is not about fixing yourself. It is about remembering yourself.

"Rooted & Rising" Retreat
A Spiritual Retreat for Women
Entering a New Season

October 5-9, 2026 Crawford, CO

ROOTED

We begin by coming home to the body, the land, and the present moment.

Time with horses and in nature offers an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday
life and reconnect with something quieter and more essential.
Through somatic practices, mindfulness, reflection, and embodied experiences, you will have
space to notice what is asking for your attention—and what you are ready to release.

REMEMBERING

There is a part of us that knows.
The part beneath the roles we have carried, the expectations we have met, and the stories we
have accumulated.

Through guided reflection, spiritual practices, creativity, and time in stillness, we explore
questions such as:

  • What matters to me now?

  • What am I ready to let go of?

  • What is asking to emerge?

  • Where have I lost touch with my own knowing?

  • What would it feel like to live from a deeper sense of purpose?

The horses become partners in this exploration—offering honest, immediate feedback and
inviting us into presence, relationship, trust, and authentic connection.

RISING

A SACRED PAUSE

The oak does not abandon its roots as it reaches toward the sky.
It grows because it is rooted.
This retreat is an invitation to consider your own next season—not as a beginning again, but as
an evolution of everything you have already lived, learned, loved, survived, and become.
Together, we explore the strength, creativity, wisdom, and possibility that are available when you
begin living from your truest self.
You leave not with another list of things you should do, but with a deeper connection to your
own inner compass.

FAQ'S

Rooted & Rising Retreat FAQs

What should I wear?
Come comfortable and ready for the outdoors. We recommend rugged, casual clothing, long pants, and sturdy closed-toe shoes or boots. You’ll be spending time outdoors and around horses, so this is not the place for fancy clothes or delicate shoes. Think comfortable, practical, and ready to get a little dusty.

Do I need to know anything about horses?
Absolutely not. You do not need previous horse experience. Our time with the horses is guided and experiential, and you’ll be introduced to them in a safe, mindful way. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with the horses at your own comfort level—there is no pressure to ride.

Will I be riding horses?
No. Our experiences with horses nclude simply being present with them, observing their behavior, grooming, groundwork, walking together, or other guided interactions. The horses are partners in the experience—not something you have to “perform” with.

Are horses safe to be around?
Horses are large, powerful animals, so we take safety seriously. You’ll receive guidance about how to approach and interact with the horses, and you’ll never be expected to do something you are uncomfortable with.

Do I need cowboy boots?

For general time around horses, sturdy closed-toe shoes or boots with good support are recommended.

What about Colorado weather?
Come prepared for changing mountain weather. Layers are your friend. Mornings and evenings can be cool, while afternoons may be warm. We recommend bringing a jacket, sun protection, and rain gear when appropriate. Colorado weather can change quickly, especially in the mountains.

Is there parking?
Yes. Parking is available at the ranch at no additional cost. Because these are private ranch properties, parking may be in a natural or unpaved area. Please follow the parking instructions provided for your specific retreat.

Will I have to walk far from the parking area?
Ranch properties are naturally rustic, and some walking over uneven ground may be required. Please wear comfortable, sturdy shoes and let us know ahead of time if you have mobility concerns so we can help you plan.

What should I bring?
We recommend bringing:

  • Comfortable, rugged clothing

  • Long pants

  • Sturdy closed-toe shoes or boots

  • Layers for changing weather

  • Jacket or rain layer

  • Hat and sunglasses

  • Sunscreen

  • Refillable water bottle

  • Personal toiletries and medications

  • A small daypack

What should I NOT bring?
You don't need to bring much! Leave the fancy clothes and uncomfortable shoes at home. We also recommend keeping valuables and unnecessary belongings to a minimum when we're working around the horses or exploring the ranch.

Do I need to be physically fit to participate?
Our retreats are designed to meet you where you are. Some activities may involve walking on uneven ground or spending time outdoors, but you will not be expected to keep up with anyone else or participate in every activity. There is room to rest, reflect, and move at your own pace.

What if I'm nervous around horses?
That's completely okay. You don't have to love horses—or even feel comfortable around them when you arrive. We'll take things slowly and allow you to develop your own relationship with the horses. Sometimes the most meaningful experiences begin right outside our comfort zone.

Will I have time to myself?
Yes. Retreats include a balance of guided experiences, time with the group, time in nature, and quiet personal time. You will have space to step away from the noise of everyday life and simply be.
